Winter Wears White
Just a reminder that it won't be hot forever! It's been around 100 degrees F for some time now and I'm ready for the weather to cool off a bit. :)
I Am Mountain
Mount Nebo, Utah, from the west covered with a fresh spring snowfall.
Shadows of a Forest
I remember witnessing the wildfire that burned this high alpine forest years ago. Now, only skeletons and shadows remain. Spanish Fork Peak (aka Maple Mountain), Utah.
The Upward Path
The ridgeline approaching the summit of Mt Nebo (Utah), from the air.
Cold and White
During a couple weeks of thick fog, heavy frost, and bitter cold last winter, I took many photos. Though the weather isn't comfortable, there is abundant natural beauty in the winter.
"This morn renews for us that day
When Jesus cast the bonds away,
Took living breath
And conquered death."
–Hymn: That Easter Morn
May we remember the life, atonement and resurrection of Jesus Christ today. Happy Easter!
This has always been a cool mountain to me…how the cliff looks like it’s been broken off, etc. I thought that black and white made the image more compelling.
Every night lately, we’ve had a lot of hoar frost. I thought this tree was particularly stunning. I’ll post a macro shot of the hoar-frost crystals soon.
Season of White
Not BBQ Season
This is what it looked like in my backyard this past Saturday afternoon. It was quite a storm!
