The Temple points us to Christ. Christmas points us to Christ. Light is representative of Christ. Yes, it's all about Christ. Taken last night at Temple Square, Salt Lake City.
If these buildings do in fact house the ordinances of salvation for us and for our ancestors (and I truly believe that they do), then is it any wonder that we're counseled to focus on the temple?
I took this on the day after Christmas...all the snow made me think of this beautiful Christmas song." In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan, Earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone; Snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow, In the bleak midwinter, long ago." ... "What can I give Him, poor as I am? If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb; If I were a Wise Man, I would do my part; Yet what I can I give Him: give my heart." — "In the Bleak Midwinter" by Christina Rossetti
