This osprey circled above a small pond in a neighbor's yard, then waited on a nearby tree for the perfect moment. After a few minutes of waiting, it dove into the water, but the fish got away. It was fascinating to watch this powerful bird hunting.
There are so many interesting and beautiful places in the world - sometimes I think about why people choose to live where they do. One of the reasons I love where I live is that we have ready access to the mountains. This panorama was taken from a small peak overlooking the place I call home.
