Deep snow marked the edge of the road to Crater Lake, Oregon. This was May 30th. I wonder how much snow there is in the winter!
Plenty of Room Here
Looking out at the very empty land from the top of an ancient volcanic rim (Doherty Slide) in southern Oregon. I loved driving through this isolated part of the western United States. If you went directly toward the horizon of this scene, you wouldn't intersect a town for over 200 miles - and then you'd be at the Pacific coast.
