Not BBQ Season
Bare Branches
Winder Landscaping
It's interesting how the color and feeling of the landscaping so dramatically changes with the seasons.
Alpine Living
This is my skyline. :) Not bad, eh?
January Morning
Though the colors of life had long been dried and frozen, nature still managed to create a beautiful sight.
Midwinter Morning Sun
On my way to work on a frosty January morning, I couldn't help but notice the morning sun streaming through the trees, illuminating the frost-covered branches. So I stopped and took a picture.
Cold and White
During a couple weeks of thick fog, heavy frost, and bitter cold last winter, I took many photos. Though the weather isn't comfortable, there is abundant natural beauty in the winter.
Frosty Sunrise
It felt as cold as it looked... This one was processed using the HDR technique.
Solitary
This large bird was standing in the water, all alone. It was perfectly still…and it was biting cold (about 10 degrees (F) above zero).
Rugged

Iced Landscape
It's been too hot here...so I thought I'd post a photo from January when it was way too cold here. Maybe it will cool you off a bit. :)
Hoar-Frosted
Every night lately, we’ve had a lot of hoar frost. I thought this tree was particularly stunning. I’ll post a macro shot of the hoar-frost crystals soon.
Smoke Faces
I can find at least four. :)
Popcorn
My favorite treat.
Singing in the Morning
My daughter Rebekah, singing in the morning.
Cold Fog Morning
Blue Ice
Close-up of hoar frost on a branch. The cold can be beautiful.
Layers
From above the Salt Lake Valley, I could see above the smog that was so thick a couple weeks ago.
Light Stream
Light streaming from a light in my kitchen. I used a slow shutter speed and moved the camera to get this effect.
