Happiness really is in the simple things. For a child, it's playing in the water on a summer evening. For a parent, it's watching your child play. Joy in the simple things...it really does sweeten life.
I love being a daddy. :)
There's nothing quite like the newness, softness and innocence of a new baby. What a great trust we have as parents...we're responsible for the life - physical, spiritual, emotional, social, etc. - of these little people. There is not much that's more wholly the work of God than doing the work of a parent. "Parents have a sacred duty to rear their children in love and righteousness, to provide for their physical and spiritual needs, to teach them to love and serve one another, to observe the commandments of God and to be law-abiding citizens wherever they live. Husbands and wives—mothers and fathers—will be held accountable before God for the discharge of these obligations." - The Family: A Proclamation to the World (https://www.lds.org/topics/family-proclamation)
