2015 was in many ways a hard year for my family and I. I feel much older, much more experienced, and somewhat wiser. In a way, this silhouetted horizon reminds me of the ups and downs of the past twelve months. This makes sense to me, since I believe that I'm not here by accident, and sometimes the necessary experiences of life aren't easy. As always, though, I have great hope. I feel grateful for my countless blessings and feel that the best is truly yet to come! Welcome 2016!
Rock eventually turns into dirt...but these trees are just a bit early. This is one of the first photos I took after entering Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, this past July.
