Looking up at the back of my home one early evening in June.
From my vantage point, this looked like a really big dirt pile to me. I've always liked dirt piles. :) Mountains can be fun, but they can also get in one's way...they can be symbolic of challenges. I am grateful for the pioneers who have blazed the trail, over mountains, both physical, emotional, and spiritual, not to mention big dirt piles like this one. Because of those that have gone before, I enjoy great privileges. Thank you, and happy Pioneer Day (Utah holiday). :)
This reminds me of the terrible price that the Lord paid to save our souls. "And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head..." (John 19:2)
