"May this temple be a place of quiet refuge in the midst of this great and noisy metropolis. May all who enter its portals feel they have stepped from the world into a place of Thy divine presence." —President Gordon B. Hinckley, Dedicatory Prayer, June 13, 2004
An autumn hayride through a pumpkin patch, from the air.
After 40 years of faith-filled labor, the Saints of 1893 dedicated this majestic edifice to the Lord Jesus Christ. I've visited the Salt Lake Temple many times, but during this last visit, I was impressed by how truly monumental this temple is! It has been made sacred by the faith and sacrifice of the builders and by the significant work done within.
