Looking out at the very empty land from the top of an ancient volcanic rim (Doherty Slide) in southern Oregon. I loved driving through this isolated part of the western United States. If you went directly toward the horizon of this scene, you wouldn't intersect a town for over 200 miles - and then you'd be at the Pacific coast.
I took this photo on a very dark night in the middle of nowhere, Montana. When processing it later, on my computer, I saw what seemed to be the outline of a young woman in a long dress and blowing hair. I enhanced the outline I saw. :)
