I photographed the Mount Timpanogos Utah LDS Temple the other day. It was a beautiful spring day, and the blossoms and the bright sky made me think of light and optimism. I love the hopeful words of this beautiful pioneer hymn. "The dawning of a brighter day Majestic rises on the world." —"The Morning Breaks", Parley P. Pratt
Almost 14 years ago, my wife and I married in this beautiful pioneer temple in Manti, Utah. The reasons I chose to be joined in a covenant with her and God in this place are personal and sacred to me, but in short, I truly believe that if we keep the promises we made here, she and I will be linked together for eternity.
A late friend of mine used to tell me, "make it a great day". There is a power within us to create the day and even the life we desire. This incredible sunrise over the mountains reminds me of this idea. The power to act and to create is in our hands!
