During Sunset after Leaf Fall
This might be my favorite of nature's color schemes.
To Serenity and Prayer
"And their kindly portals beckon
To serenity and prayer,
Valiant children of the promise,
Pledged to sacred service there."

The Moody Earth
This hillside next to the beach in San Francisco seemed to showcase some of the moods of the earth - the vibrant foliage contrasted with the muted colors in the fog. I love nature!
Walls of Rock
Walls of colored rock - just one of the many natural wonders in Yellowstone National Park. Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.
There are innumerable worlds out there beyond ours. Seeing the Milky Way reminds me of that. I'm excited to photograph our galaxy again this summer!
This was taken from Payson Lakes, Utah, last summer.
A Brighter Day
I photographed the Mount Timpanogos Utah LDS Temple the other day. It was a beautiful spring day, and the blossoms and the bright sky made me think of light and optimism. I love the hopeful words of this beautiful pioneer hymn.
"The dawning of a brighter day
Majestic rises on the world."
—"The Morning Breaks", Parley P. Pratt
Day and Night In His Temple
"...they [are] before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them."
— Revelation 7:13-17
The Mesa Arizona LDS Temple, late on a hot summer night.
Midnight Sun Rising
This month's full moon rising from the east. The brilliant moon is only reflecting the light from our sun.
Yellowstone National Park's Tower Fall late on a summer afternoon.
Technical info: I stopped down the aperture all the way to get the water blurred while keeping the photo exposed properly in the sunshine, without the use of an ND filter.
Beautiful color and patterns on the trunk of a palmetto tree in Central Florida.
Steps Unto Heav'n
"There let the way appear,
Steps unto heav'n;
All that thou sendest me,
In mercy giv'n;"
—Nearer, My God, To Thee
The hard lines and shapes of architecture contrasted with the organic patterns of nature are an inspiration to me.
