The unique spire of the Provo City Center Temple. It's been exactly one year since the dedication of this beautiful and holy temple.
Forward and Upward
"We have paused on some plateaus long enough. Let us resume our journey forward and upward."
—President Spencer W. Kimball, April 1979
Between Heaven and Earth
The Jordan River Temple is closed for renovation, but I was able to get some good shots of it anyway. I really like the design - it was built in 1981 and is the highest capacity temple in the Church. More from this shoot to come!
"The temple is a point of intersection between heaven and earth. In this sacred place, holy work will be performed through selfless service and love. The temple reminds me of all that is good and beautiful in the world." —Elder David A. Bednar
Tropical storm Hermine dumped a tremendous amount of water from the sky at the Orlando Florida LDS Temple. While shooting in the rain, I noticed the shadow of the temple's spire in the misty atmosphere.
Form and Function
Many LDS temples have distinctive themes and patterns in their design. The Billings Montana temple has lots of straight lines and right angles. Regardless of the design, each temple serves the same sacred function: the creation of eternal families.
My Spirit shall be in your Hearts
"I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up." — Doctrine & Covenants 84:88
Light of the Son
I believe that this truly is His house. That alone should motivate us to be there!
Like solid rock, regular participation in the ordinances of the Lord's Holy House can act as a firm foundation in our lives.
The Provo City Center Temple - what a remarkable building, and an amazing story. A fire gutted this 132-year old pioneer tabernacle and left only the outside walls standing. Now it's been given a new life as the newest temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
My favorite season at one of my favorite places.
Fifty-eight Visible Spires

Temple of The Son
Speaking of Jesus Christ, one of my favorite hymns reads,
"He marked the path and led the way,
And ev'ry point defines
To light and life and endless day
Where God's full presence shines."
Temple through the Trees
At the center of Salt Lake City stands the Temple. Its beautiful exterior pales when compared with the beauty of what happens inside.
