H2O at 5 degrees
Detail from the Ice Castles in Midway, Utah. It was a bitter 5 degrees F (-15 C), but it was beautiful!
Winter Wears White
Just a reminder that it won't be hot forever! It's been around 100 degrees F for some time now and I'm ready for the weather to cool off a bit. :)
Light from Boston's financial district reflects on the frozen Charles River. This was a very cold and windy night. The wind made it hard to keep my tripod and camera still. Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
A Dusting of Snow
Snow, like powdered sugar, dusted the red rocks on a frigid winter afternoon. Seemed like the right photo to share on this blazing hot summer day. :)
Interstate 15 entrance in Springville, Utah.
Cold Fog Morning
It was COLD this morning when I left for work. :)
Cold and White
During a couple weeks of thick fog, heavy frost, and bitter cold last winter, I took many photos. Though the weather isn't comfortable, there is abundant natural beauty in the winter.
The Effect of Cold
The absence of heat really does wonders. It changes the color of the leaves. It is part of producing weather. It freezes water vapor to produce snow. It is beautiful.
I think I'm ready for a change in seasons. :)
This has always been a cool mountain to me…how the cliff looks like it’s been broken off, etc. I thought that black and white made the image more compelling.
Season of White
This large bird was standing in the water, all alone. It was perfectly still…and it was biting cold (about 10 degrees (F) above zero).
